Sorry for sending this out so late, I pulled an all-nighter the other day and just woke up from a 15-hour slumber. Anyways, here is the long awaited draws for the Chinese New Year Tournament.

Tournament Schedule:

  • Friday, Feb. 12, 2010
  • Registration opens: 5:30pm
  • Tournament starts: 6:30pm
  • For all participants, the gym is open from 5:30pm – 6:30pm for you to warm up and get into that competitive-must-kill-all-opponents mode. Regular sign-up procedures will apply (e.g. sign-up board).

Prizes:

  • 1st place – $50 gift card to !#*@)!*
  • 2nd place – $30 gift card to &!*#(@)
  • 3nd place (consolation winners) – Coffee/Hot drink mugs from !*!)#*@&!
  • As for the draw prizes, they are a secret.

Tournament Format:

  • consolation bracket for Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles. Women’s doubles is a little special since we only have 3 teams registered
  • Games are best of 3
  • Rally point system up to 21 points
  • Only tournament birds will be permitted
  • Feather shuttlecocks will be provided for all games. If both teams agree, they may a plastic bird instead (Mavis 350).
  • The laws of badminton govern all play
